Renewal of Vows

Sometimes called a re-affirmation of vows, this ceremony can be held just after your wedding or on your golden wedding anniversary or anything in between.

Traditionally couples renewed their vows at important milestones in their m. It is a way to publicly re-affirm your commitment to each other and share the stories of your lives together so far. These ceremonies often include the couple's children and grandchildren.

Others choose to renew their vows following a difficult period in their marriage. It can mark a fresh start or simply confirm your desire to continue to work on and build your relationship. The ceremony highlights the importance of your marriage in your lives.

Today with the increase of global relationships and overseas elopements many renewal of vows ceremonies are performed for couples who have only recently married. Even though their official wedding may have taken place overseas, they would like to share their love with family and friends in Australia.

These ceremonies are often very similar to a wedding with vows, ring or gift exchanges, readings and of course the kiss. However it is important to note that it is illegal to pretend that it is your actual wedding (so please don't ask us to do this!)
